The New Iridium 9555 Satellite Phone is smaller, lighter and more resistant to water, dust and shock than Motorola's original Iridium satellite phone. This newest addition to the Iridium portfolio is ideal for industrial or rugged conditions, yet appealing to the travelling professional.
The Iridium Phone works together with a network of 66 satellites that enable users travelling to remote areas to make voice and data calls from virtually anywhere on Earth. The 9555 is a rugged handset which is designed for tough environments. The antenna retracts into the handset for greater protection. The 9555 has clear audio quality, an integrated speaker phone, better SMS and e-mail messaging capabilities and a mini USB data port, which together with software enables users to access the internet easily.
